5 cool things to do in IBIZA

Velvet IBIZA is the best European Lesbian Festival.  It’s a good idea to arrive a few days earlier and/or extend your stay after the festival.

IBIZA is one of the nicest, most beautiful and finest islands I have ever seen.  It is a small place, so it is very easy to travel around.  The old town, the beaches, the people, the food: actually everything on Ibiza has stolen my heart. If you are joining our lesbian Festival, you do not want to miss these tips.

We recommend renting a vehicle to explore.

1.The beaches of ibiza: this island actually boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Start with Playa de Ses Salines, part of a natural park, situated near the airport. Cala D’Hort has the best view on Es Vedra, the rock island.  Take the boat to Formentera, Playa de Ses Illetes is breathtaking with crystal clear waters.

2. Rent a scooter and go to the Punta Arabi hippie market in Es Canar. Held every Wednesday, the market is a great place to buy local crafts and all kinds of souvenirs.  It is the oldest & biggest hippie market on the island.

3. Take a trip to the north of Ibiza. On the most northern coast of the island is Portinatx, a resort with three spectacular beaches. Portinatx and Cala Xaracca are really worth to be seen with your own eyes!

4. Ibiza’s sunset! The most crowded places are Café del Mar & Mambo.  My personal favorite spot to go see the sunset is Kumharas. There is live music in the evening and the food is very good. It will be a truly unforgettable evening!

5. Visit Dalt Vila, the old part of Ibiza City.  A mixture of old and new with shops, dining, cobbled streets and a castle with historic walls. It is a nice and picturesque walk to the top to visit the Cathedral.
